There is a brand new trailer for "Prometheus " out… and it looks great. In case you didn't know, prometheus is a prequel of sorts to "Alien". Take a look: I don't know about you, but that 2:32 sure turned into 7:36 quick on account of replay. They crammed a lot into that one. Was here something following the girl at 2:08?
Anyways, I can't wait for this. -Josh

In case you missed it, 20th Century Fox decided to drop a nice little “V” day gift for us on Tuesday. It was in the form of “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire hunter” international Trailer. Sure, we got a taste with a trailer and behind-the-scenes look before it, but this one really shows Lincoln’s disdain for blood suckers. It looks really good. Take a peek. Was that Abe? Carving up vampires whilst walking atop a train? Did you see his Axe skills? He pretty much levelled a tree in one crushing blow... I think it’s safe to say that I wanna see this.
-Josh Because I’m hopeful and love horror movies, I thought I’d share the new trailer for “Intruders” starring Clive Owen and Clarice Van Houten. It’s directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo who also Directed “28 weeks later”, which was a decent watch overall and had a pretty awesome beginning. So here’s a trailer with more than a little “which one’s seeing things? The girl? Or the father?” coupled with unrelenting tense music. Take a look: “There was no one there John”, “So you think I’m crazy do you?” Those are the tell tale signs that either the father or the daughter is in fact hollow face. Maybe we’ll be in for some cool visuals at least. Kind of like Kirsten Stewart in “The Messenger”. Overall mediocre to bad movie but had some pretty sweet visuals. Like that thing on the ceiling. What the hec was that!? Sooo good.
- Josh Everybody seems to love the Bourne Trilogy with Matt Damon. So why not go ahead and adapt the fourth novel in the Bourne series to film? Add some Jeremy Renner, mix in some new actors with old and here’s what you get as a teaser. Take a look. Sure, it’s not too much to go on. Gotta love the set up though, where Bourne was only the tip of the iceberg. Hec, the original movie trilogy could only be the tip of the iceberg with possible Bourne Betrayal, Bourne sanction, Bourne deception, Bourne objective and Bourne Dominion adaptations. A meatier trailer might give us a better idea of what the new direction has in store. -Josh Horror's been everywhere. It's been in the suburbs, in the city, in the sewers, the swamps, mountains, caves, and even on boats. Yes, it's been in the air. But has it been there enough? How else can horror at high altitudes surprise and frighten? Enter movie: "7500" as another entry into high flying horror and this one's directed by Takashi Shimizu of "The Grudge" fame.... And it's got Amy Smart from Butterfly effect. Take a look. Not crazy about the "Leaving, on a jet plane" rendition. Too, there isn't a whole lot to get excited about. At the very least it doesn't show anything that is outright disappointing... so maybe it might be good.
- Josh So just watched 'Real Steel', and can I say? Wow! Wow that was terrible! Being a huge Hugh Jackman fan, I was expecting great things from this movie. Not "Transformers' great, but still, robots fighting? Cool! What I got was terrible acting, cheesy dialogue, a silly storyline, and only somewhat cool robots. The idea here is that it is sometime in the future, maybe within the next decade or so, and robot fights have taken over for human boxing matches. Hugh Jackman's character, Charley, is a down-on-his-luck robot boxer owner, who is constantly trying to win the next big fight (or any fight), but who's robots are just not up to the task. Throw a son from a past relationship into the mix, and you have a heart-warming tale of a man who finds out what's really important in life: that winning isn't everything. That's what you hope to have, anyway. No. What you get is a movie that tries to be as cool as 'Transformers', with robots beating on each other, but never reaches that level of sophistication that seeing Optimus Prime beating on Megatron does. The fact that Charley now has to take care of his 11 year old son could have lent itself to some emotion, some 'I'm sorry I was never there for you, son'. But it never gets that far. It instead goes from the son being dropped in his father's lap to them being the best of friends (and business partners, when his son finds a scrap-heap robot that turns out to be a winner in the ring). Unfortunately, the scenes between Jackman and his on-screen son are pretty boring, and seem like so much filler to get us through to the next robot fighting scene. And I have to say the dance scenes are terrible. Could have cut them out of the movie and saved a bit of time (if you watch this movie you'll know what I mean!). All in all, I think this is one you may want to skip. Kevin B. The new Resident Evil: Retribution trailer is up. There are some familiar faces here, some large bio-weapons, Ada Wong... and the music from Tron: Legacy? It is a given that the Resident Evil movies have taken liberties in adapting storyline and content from the much loved video games to the big screen. As much as it burns some hard core fans, to the movie series' credit, they have been able to produce four sequels to their first feature. From the looks of it, Resident Evil: Retribution will probably please the fan base the movie series has amassed. While some may groan at the inclusion of "Las Plagas" in the latest series entry, it might be interesting to see where they take it.
Resident Evil is a series that debuted in 1996 as a survival horror video game. Since then, it has seen expansion across game platforms, into books and into a movie series. - Josh Here’s a horror flick that boasts 88 mins of continuous footage. It’s a remake of “La Casa Muda” which was in turn, supposedly inspired by true events and was also presented as one single take! It certainly looks like there’s focus on building tension, which I am all for, but the question is, can Elisabeth Olsen’s acting hold up in this “real time” full length feature? Take a look. I gotta say, I was hoping for straight supernatural, but it looks more like they’re gonna go with the dad gone crazy or possessed type thing.... which is a shame, cause we’ve definitely seen that done before. Still, it does have some promise. Here’s hoping dad doesn’t poke his head through that post hammer holed wall announcing, “Heeeerre’s Johny”.
- Josh I may have been off on Christmas vacation but I have definitely not missed some exciting trailers that have been coming online! In case you missed em, I've included some of them below. Take a look and see for yourself. First up is the Prometheus trailer. you just watched it? doesn't it look great? I already can't get enough of it. Gotta say though that the beginning really gave off a Metroid vibe for me for some reason. anyone else? Next up is another pretty big trailer release for the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. IMDB has also listed what looks like a follow up entitled the Hobbit: There and Back Again. I want to be excited about this but t didn't think there was a whole lot of content in the trailer to be excited about . Right now, I kinda wanna see Prometheus more, but am looking forward to more news on the Hobbit. Here is the trailer for Christopher Nolan's third and apparently final contribution to Batman movies. It's probably expected that this is gonna be awesome, but will Bane be consistently hard to understand? May need subtitles. And here's a no brainer action movie sequel with added Van Damme and Norris... the buzz alone is likely to ensure we see this become a trilogy. And lastly... Ha! I just had to include the new Japanese Trailer for Battleship. I still can't believe that they made this movie.
-Josh Here's a trailer for upcoming movie "The Cabin in the woods", a part of which is also referred to in the trailer as the "killing floor"... lovely. It looks to be a collection of tired old horror movie clichés, but wait... "you think you know the story... the place?" the Trailer asks... then sends a soaring bird face planting into a honeycomb force field. Take a look. Truth is, though it feels like I'm watching bits of "wrong turn", This movie doesn't look all that bad. That it's got some self awareness with it's " We have to stay together...this isn't right... let's split up" wins over some points. And it's "do we want to go down?" does peek some interest. I mean, of course we want to go down deeper into the bunker. And so the hopeful search for the next great horror movie continues.
